Mapei, a global leader in construction materials and a frontrunner in sustainable innovation, has taken a concrete step toward circular logistics by partnering with PGS Reverse. Since October 1st, 2022, Mapei France has been using ECO PGS® reusable pallets that are recoverable and eco-designed for circular use.

The French-Belgian pallet group PGS is continuing its European growth with the opening of its first site in the United Kingdom. Located in Grays, near London, PGS will process second-hand pallets exclusively for LPR – La Palette Rouge, the European specialist in pallet pooling. This site will be one of the largest within the PGS Group and holds significant strategic importance.

PGS Group is taking the next concrete and strategic step towards a more sustainable pallet industry. After the summer break, the company will deploy its first fully electric truck to deliver finished pallets from its sites in Snaaskerke and Lichtervelde to customers across the region. On return trips, the truck will collect wood from the sawmill in Zulte to supply the production sites, completing a fully electric supply loop.

With the opening of a branch in Amstetten, Austria, market leader in new and reconditioned pallets PGS Group is taking the next step in its international expansion. This site can currently process up to 1 million pallets per year, with the ambitious goal of increasing that capacity to 1.5 million. The move caters to the growing demand for sustainable logistical solutions while opening the gateway to the Eastern European market.
