Circular pallet logistics is a system where pallets are reused, repaired and redistributed instead of being discarded after a single trip. By keeping pallets in continuous circulation, raw material use, waste and emissions are significantly reduced.
How does pallet pooling work at PGS Reverse?
Pallet pooling at PGS Reverse allows pallets to be shared between multiple users. After use, pallets are collected, inspected and repaired if needed, then redistributed where they are needed next, instead of being returned empty to their original owner.
How does PGS Reverse reduce empty pallet transport?
PGS Reverse limits empty transport by redirecting used pallets to the nearest facility within its European network. This reduces unnecessary transport movements, lowers costs and cuts transport-related greenhouse gas emissions.
What is the difference between ECO PGS®, PGS RLS® and REVERSE+?
PGS Reverse offers three circular logistics solutions designed for different pallet needs:
- ECO PGS® uses eco-designed pooling pallets that remain the property of PGS, offering a flexible and sustainable alternative to disposable pallets.
- PGS RLS® enables the shared use and relocation of standardized EPAL/EUR pallets across Europe through a virtual system.
- REVERSE+ provides delegated management of a customer’s own logistics park, where pallets and specific packaging remain the property of the customer.
