Mapei takes a concrete step toward circular logistics with ECO PGS®
Mapei, a global leader in construction materials and a frontrunner in sustainable innovation, has taken a concrete step toward circular logistics by partnering with PGS Reverse. Since October 1st, 2022, Mapei France has been using ECO PGS® (800 × 1200 mm) reusable pallets that are recoverable and eco-designed for circular use. These pallets replace traditional one-way pallets and support Mapei’s commitment to reducing environmental impact while maintaining operational excellence.

From one-way to circular
By adopting ECO PGS®, Mapei transitioned from a linear pallet model to a structured circular pooling system. Products are delivered to customers on ECO PGS® pallets, which are then recovered and reintroduced into circulation instead of being discarded.
Once the goods are delivered, customers notify PGS Reverse when pallets are available. PGS Reverse then organizes targeted collection through its European network. The pallets are inspected, sorted, and repaired when necessary before being redeployed for new rotations, ensuring consistent quality and long-term usability.
Measurable environmental impact
Mapei’s transition to ECO PGS® delivers clear and measurable environmental benefits, demonstrating how circular logistics can generate real impact at scale.
