PGS Group strengthens its presence in southern France with JPJ Palettes

Published on 22/10/2026

PGS Group, the European market leader in wooden pallets and related services, is joining forces with JPJ Palettes, a recognised regional player in the production, repair and recovery of wooden pallets, based in Saint-Martin-de-Crau. This partnership enables PGS Group to significantly strengthen its network in southern France and further expand its service offering to industrial and logistics companies in the region.

Industrial expertise combined with strong local roots

Founded in 2017 by Jérémy Laurent, JPJ Palettes has developed an integrated business model covering the full lifecycle of wooden pallets. Its activities include the production of standard and custom-made pallets, repair, collection, pallet flow management at customer sites, recycling and the recovery of wood waste as biomass.

The company currently operates two sites in the Bois de Leuze industrial zone in Saint-Martin-de-Crau, covering a total area of approximately 20,000 m². The facilities include automated production lines, a repair workshop, equipment for recycling and wood recovery, ISPM 15 treatment facilities and significant storage capacity.

This industrial expertise and in-depth knowledge of the regional market complement PGS Group’s existing network and capabilities.

Saint-Martin-de-Crau, a strategic location

Located at the heart of a major industrial and logistics hub connecting Arles, Salon-de-Provence and Fos-sur-Mer, Saint-Martin-de-Crau benefits from a particularly strategic location with direct access to the A54 motorway.

The proximity to the existing PGS Provence site provides an additional advantage. It creates opportunities to further strengthen the regional organisation and offer customers in south-eastern France an even broader range of services.

“With JPJ, we are strengthening our presence in southern France. The complementarity with PGS Provence gives us the opportunity to develop an efficient regional platform and offer our customers an even broader range of services.” Luc Grauwet, CEO of PGS Group

A partnership focused on growth

This partnership creates new growth opportunities in southern France by combining the strength, network and expertise of a European group with the agility, local market knowledge and entrepreneurial spirit of JPJ Palettes.

Further development opportunities exist around some of the region’s key industrial and logistics hubs, including Fos-sur-Mer and Berre-l’Étang.

For Jérémy Laurent, this new step will allow JPJ to continue growing while maintaining its identity and strong regional roots:

“This partnership gives us access to PGS Group’s scale, expertise and network, while allowing us to preserve our local roots and entrepreneurial spirit. It provides a strong foundation for our continued development.” Jérémy Laurent, founder of JPJ Palettes

Jérémy Laurent takes on an additional role within PGS Group

Alongside his responsibilities at JPJ Palettes, Jérémy Laurent is joining PGS Group as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO).

With twelve years of experience in logistics and cost optimisation, he will mainly support the Group’s activities in France. His role includes identifying and implementing new opportunities to improve performance and further optimise costs and operational processes.

This dual role reflects PGS Group’s ambition to draw on the entrepreneurial and operational expertise of its partners to accelerate the Group’s transformation and further development.

A shared focus on circularity

Through this partnership, PGS Group and JPJ Palettes also share the same vision of sustainable resource management.

From production and repair to reuse, recycling and the recovery of wood at the end of its lifecycle, both companies are developing business models with the circular economy at their core.

This complementarity creates further opportunities to support industrial and logistics companies in southern France in optimising their pallet flows and reducing their environmental impact.
